Eco-Responsible Promotions

Kermit the Frog coined the phrase, "It's not easy being green", back in 1969, but today, more and more of us are finding ways to be green.  While auto manufacturers are focusing their efforts on developing affordable vehicles powered by alternative fuel, [electric and gas-electric hybrids] we, as individuals, are taking steps to lessen our impact on the environment.  Thanks, in no small part, to organized worldwide events, such as Earth Hour and Earth Day, both of which build awareness and inspire and mobilize citizens and organizations to take steps toward environmental protection and sustainability.

This April 22 marks the 41st anniversary of Earth Day.
This year, the Earth Day Organization is challenging us all to pledge an "act of green" [an act as large as organizing a shoreline cleanup, or as small as changing lightbulbs to energy efficient ones, or planting a garden].  As of today, individuals have pledged 80, 469, 312 acts of green and counting!

Although Earth Day is a good reason to pledge for the planet, many of us are making everyday Earth Day by recycling, reducing, and reusing, both in the workplace and at home; while encouraging customers, vendors, and employees to do the same.  How can we do this efficiently, affordably, and in an eco-responsible manner? The answer: use eco-responsible promotional products to not only show our own corporate commitment, but help increase awareness!

Reduce: Switch to using organic cotton canvas or PET Non-woven bags instead of nylon or plastic ones!  Eco-responsible grocery totes, for example, are durable, spacious, inexpensive, reusable, and offer endless decorating possibilities.  Imagine if we all said "Bye Bye" to plastic grocery bags forever?!

Reuse: Switch to using a reusable travel tumbler!  Add a full-wrap eco message, with your logo, and include a package of organic coffee, for a tasteful "wake up call".  Stainless steel water bottles are also available with an eco-message. Everyone loves to receive an imaginatively decorated mug or water bottle!

Encourage them to plant a tree or grow a garden of wildflowers!  You could even provide the necessary tools to tend to them!

If we all reduce, recycle, reuse, bike to work, use energy-efficient light bulbs, and buy local produce, we can all make a difference!
